Web-Hosted Help and Internet Explorer

Mobility help is implemented using JavaScript. You cannot open it using Internet Explorer (IE) unless the browser is configured to trust the NetMotion Wireless site, or it is configured to enable web pages with active content. Do one of the following, depending on the level of security you want at your site.

Trust the NetMotion Wireless site

Adding the NetMotion Wireless site to the Trusted Zone allows active content (including JavaScript) to be available for the Mobility documentation but not for the Internet as a whole.

  1. In IE, open Internet Options, and then click the Security tab.
  2. Click Trusted sites, then the Sites button.
  3. To add the Mobility web site as a trusted zone, enter http://www.netmotionwireless.com and then click Add.
  4. Click Close, and then OK. Refresh your browser.

Allow active scripting

When you configure IE to enable web pages with active content, the setting applies to all sites.

  1. In IE, open Internet Options, and then click the Security tab.
  2. Click Internet, then the Custom level button.
  3. Scroll down to Scripting and then enable Active scripting.
  4. Click OK, and then click OK again. Refresh your browser.
